An interesting trend I've noticed recently:

When managing billing information, like your credit card on file, I now have to open the mobile app to make changes.

Payment methods or sometimes even entire billing management is not available via the web.

Used to be totally the other way around.

Why is the software to run my wireless document scanner over a gigabyte in size? This seems crazy excessive (acknowledging I know nothing about scanners and their software requirements...).

I have a question about whether my credit union has a notary on staff today, and if I need an appointment.

All phone numbers go through a central automated system. It's so much slower and frustrating, when all I want to do is ask a normal person a question that will take at max a minute to answer.

Looking at the Fortify source (I don't have a project with it spun up), the /login route uses the standard Laravel guest middleware.

If you name your home route `home` it should work without other changes, or you can add to a service provider as shown.
