Watched Predator: Badlands last night. Perfectly balanced. Was good to see Dek as a standalone character and then an ensemble with Fanning. The action was really good, CG was everywhere but still okay (only complaint was that the Yautja planet was so brown and dark). Looking forward to more.

I went to order this because I’d tried during the autumn. Then I remembered why I didn’t order in the first place. Peow tells me to use the EU store, adds $20 in postage on top of the $23 for the manga. This’ll have to wait until after Christmas.

Yup, hopefully this’ll mean that being owned by a Japanese company will give it access to more titles that are not locked away by Sony Music or whichever label/online shop/game studio they’re using to rule the universe with this year.

For me, being owned by Embracer was probably as dynamic for AL as it was for us customers. I noticed that AL stopped doing the yearly licence roundups, the YouTube live streams, stopped doing much social media outreach, and generally just knuckled down and released fifty volumes of One Piece on BD.
