Never thought I would say this but I put too many chocolate chips in the pancake batter.

As long as you know your pin, apparently doing a “change pin” operation, even “changing” the pin to the current one, unblocks the Yubikey. (2/2)

I got locked out of my Yubikey BIO for three bad fingerprint attempts in a row which resulted in a flashing amber light.

The docs are not really clear on what to do in this situation, and Gemini confidently tells you the only way to fix it is a full device reset which throws away credentials (1/2)

The A18 Pro is basically a watered down M4. They have the same type of cores, just less of them and half the memory controller. If you go by an iPhone 16 Pro, single core perf should be around 3445 on Geekbench, which outdoes a Ryzen 9 9950X3D (3395).

So much of my "compute" these days is in the cloud (exe.dev, Codespaces, etc) all I really need is a browser and a terminal. And my Mac Studio is a Tailscale session away.

I ordered a MacBook Neo to fool around with. Should be a fun little laptop. As said, I love fun-size laptops. bsky.app/profile/vcsj...

Buried in the tech specs:

Mac models with M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max, M1 Ultra, M2, and M3 support Studio Display XDR at up to 60Hz. All other Studio Display XDR features are supported.

Boo. Studio Display XDR’s 120 Hz requires a CPU/GPU newer than my work MBA.

A picture of a Pringles rebrand, before and after. Much like the Stack Overflow on, the "after" is more monochrome in the Pringle's "guy" face.

A before and after of the stack overflow logo. The before, the left, shows a stack of orange boxes overflowing from a container. The font weight from "stack" and "overflow" is noticeable.

The "After" on the right is all black, and the container is no longer present. The font weight is no longer different between the words, or is a least imperceptible.

Not a fan of Stack Exchange's new logo proposal. The orange stack is like, *the* brand. meta.stackexchange.com/questions/41...

Now that it is above 50F it is fully apparent to me how much of my day was “put layers on children”.

It only took me 10 minutes to get my son changed and dressed? Is this a vacation?

You can put native binaries in NuGet packages now but I think it requires the .NET 10 SDK, and you will need to assemble the package yourself.

Running one-off .NET tools with dnx: Exploring the .NET 10 preview - Part 5 In this post I show the new dnx command for running .NET tools without installing them and look at exactly how it works.

This seems reasonable? If you can make assumptions about the .NET SDK (like >= 10) then you can use `dotnet dnx` to run the tool. @andrewlock.bsky.social wrote about it: andrewlock.net/exploring-do...

It’s starting to get weird how the more vocal some people are about Twitter / X being bad and you shouldn’t post on it still continue to post on it.
