Time soon to work on this again after a year!

There wasn’t a lot of cool cars where I grew up, but randomly one day when I was out for a run, one just like this drove by and HOLY SHIT it was cool.

Transmission guy saying may/June so I feel like summer is going to be lucky at this point. I’d be thrilled with early fall to be honest. Putting it back together isn’t a huge deal but likely a couple weekends of work.

Yeah - it was still having problems and literally only thing that hadn’t been replaced was the crank. Glad/relieved that worked. The transmission is still a few months away but hey, one more thing crossed off.

This answers all the questions I ever had about break-in periods, hah.

They said dyno tuning soon! The cams I got are supposed to be good for around 135hp or so - we’ll see. Mostly just be happy to have a functional engine. Sounds like there it’s probably around 5k and the header is glowing 🙂

Literally every single part of the engine has now been replaced.

Haha well the transmission cursed itself (already? finally?) and is probably AWOL until June now haha

I do think it can’t go on that long, one way or another. Question is how bad the ride is. Even a year or two is forever if people are starving, burning floorboards for heat etc. like when the USSR collapsed.

Yep, you could say a big part of US stocks going up is the dollar going down right now. Anyway not sure what else is going to get enough people to care more about getting these guys out instead of manufactured culture war BS.

Only other jaded thing I will say today is that all this nonsense will continue unless there’s a major stock market correction that lasts more than 6 months or something like that.
