SONIC MEGAMIX MANIA
RELEASING FEBRUARY 6TH, 2026

It was hated for a few years after launch I think
I remember it still didn't have a great reputation in 2013 which is when I played it. I only played it because I wanted to play 3 but 3 had GFWL so I played NV instead
And NV turned out to be one of my favourite games of all time
Spent 6 hours in there, was planning on staying longer but it got too busy and too loud and my ADHD having ass can't handle that
I really enjoyed it though, spent most of my time playing Maimai
The arcade has an adults only time for Friday 6PM - 11PM so I'll have to go on a Friday next time
Still working my way through Trails of Cold Steel III (70 hours in) but I've been finding myself missing the old 2.5D presentation of Sky and Crossbell
Honestly, I find this to be the case for the MCs in every modern Persona. It's been a while now but I remember genuinely laughing out loud for a lot of the dialogue options in my first P4 playthrough
Gonna keep a thread of games I've beaten in 2026 here
Fanart of Chun-Li from Street fighter (her original design from SF2). It's a fullbody illustration that appears digitally painted. She is standing proudly with clenched fists, looking at the viewer strongly but gently. The background is detailed with a large superimposed more realistic portrait of her taking up the top half, and a dragon on the bottom half. There are three small panels with simple illustrations of Ryu and Cammy looking stoic, and one of Juri-han being silly. "CHUN-LI" is written at the top.
CHUN-LI
Going to a proper arcade for the first time ever today, excited but kinda worried it'll be full of kids. It is unlimited plays after I pay a booking fee though
Hope it's worth the £18
I'm visiting a proper arcade for the first time ever in a couple weeks
I'm actually super excited
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to anyone celebrating!
There's a lot more I can say about the rest of her arc but I'd probably be here for hours if I did that.
Just wanted to say, Renne is one of my favourite characters of all time and easily my favourite character in Trails.
And its implied she's a victim of CSA. God I cried right there. Seeing this confused child all alone with nothing other than the society (specifically Loewe) and Pater-Mater, reveal why she acts the way she does and even despite all that Estelle shows her so much kindness and offers her a home
Grancel where she causes a ton of trouble. The characters brush it off as kids being kids but it's obvious something is wrong.
Then the tea party happens, you find out she's an enforcer and you meet pater-mater for the first time.
Then at the liber ark more of her backstory gets revealed
But man, Renne's arc. From the first time you meet her you can tell something is of (and if you watched the 2nd chapter teaser you already know she's an enforcer, thanks for the spoilers 1st Chapter remake)
But yeah, you meet her once, don't see her for a bit and then meet up with her again in
My eyes welled up watching that scene, but even then, I haven't yet seen all of June's character arc so it obviously can't hold a candle to Renne's character arc which I've seen the entirety of (though I hear she's in daybreak so that'll be interesting to see)
Finding out that these characters you love, these characters that we've played two entire games with and know incredibly well are just locked up in Mishelam without a way out? God, I could feel Juna's frustration, her lack of hope, her longing for the independence of Crossbell again
Don't get me wrong, I still love Juna as a character. I've only finished the first field exercise day of chapter 2 so far but the scene where she's screaming and crying at Rean? God man, I felt that so hard. I've played Zero and Azure so relating to Juna in that scene was so easy
Also, CW: CSA
Here's where the spoilers begin so if you're thinking about playing these games you can move on
Been thinking about it. Juna is solidly my number 2 favourite character
Number 1 is still Rene, no spoilers but before playing Trails I have had my eyes well up at media before but Renne is legitimately the only character to ever make me full on cry and she managed it three different times
I'm 40 hours into Trails of Cold Steel III
I think Juna might be my new favourite character
What are some of your favourite female character designs?
A Quote Tweet from NYC Councilmember Vickie Paladino @VickieForNYC stating: “We’re in the midst of a global jihad the likes of which the world has never seen, and we cannot ignore it. “We need to take every seriously the need to begin the expulsion of Muslims from western nations, or at the very least the severe sanction of them within western borders. “The administration needs to begin developing a formal legal framework for the denaturalization process and get it over with before we end up with another 9/11 or worse. Enough is enough.” The quoted tweet from @DrewPavlu stating: “AUSTRALIAN HERO TOOK GUN OFF SHOOTER “TERROR ATTACK SYDNEY AT LEAST 10 DEAD “AUSTRALIAN HERO TOOK DOWN GUNMAN”
A million Muslims live in New York City. We belong here, as does every other New Yorker.
This is vile Islamophobia from the Councilwoman and it has no place in our city.
Just finished Cold Steel II, the finale, divertissement and epilogue were great but overall I really do think the game dragged. Still good overall though.
7/10
Gonna jump into Cold Steel III, I've heard a lot of good things about this one
Just finished the divertissement and god damn, no spoilers but it's probably my favourite part of the game so far
Just finished the finale for Cold Steel 2, still have the divertissement and the epilogue to get through but
Holy shit that ending, no spoilers but, god damn.
Yeah, I do still think most of the game is a drag but the entire Infernal Castle segment was great
Had to share this with my friends immediately
I forget sometimes that a lot of people on this website did not live during the 80s and 90s and so have a very different perspective on game design and difficulty than I do
Sorry, think I just went on a bit of a ramble lmao. But difficulty in games is just a topic I'm pretty passionate about.
Unfortunately a lot of people just don't see it like that or understand that so they just see a life counter and complain about archaic design when in reality, it's probably a good idea to get better at the earlier stages rather than pounding your head against a later stage (4/4)
