WH justification seems to be 1) 1989 DOJ memo from Bill Barr says constitution allows FBI to make overseas arrests independent of international law, and 2) DOJ policy says President has authority to use military to protect federal officers. So it was an FBI op w/ BIG military protection

I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.
