The shipwreck occurred off the coast of Skala Sykamnias after the boat was detected near the shore by the Hellenic Coast Guard. Seven people (three women, three children and one man) lost their lives, while one girl remains missing to this day. All families who survived lost loved ones.

Το #ναυάγιο σημειώθηκε ανοιχτά της Συκαμνιάς, μετά τον εντοπισμό της βάρκας από το ελληνικό Λιμενικό κοντα στην ακτή. 7 άνθρωποι (3 γυναίκες, 3 παιδιά και ένας άντρας) έχασαν τη ζωή τους, ενώ ένα κορίτσι παραμένει μέχρι σήμερα αγνοούμενο. Όλες οι οικογένειες που επέζησαν έχασαν μέλη τους.

This requirement is impossible for Zakia* to meet given her health condition. This constitutes discriminatory treatment against recognised refugees that does not apply to Greek nationals or citizens of EU member states.

Background: After Zakia* was recognised as a refugee, the Provisional Health Care&Insurance Number (PAAYPA) she had as an asylum seeker was automatically deactivated. In order to receive an active AMKA, Greek law requires a work contract or recruitment certificate.

Υπόβαθρο: Αφότου η Ζακιά* αναγνωρίστηκε ως προσφύγισσα, απενεργοποιήθηκε αυτόματα ο προσωρινός αριθμός ασφάλισης (ΠΑΑΥΠΑ) που είχε ως αιτούσα άσυλο. Για να λάβει ενεργό ΑΜΚΑ, η ισχύουσα νομοθεσία απαιτεί σύμβαση εργασίας ή βεβαίωση πρόσληψης.

Πέρα από τη μη συμμόρφωση με δικαστική απόφαση, οι πράξεις αυτές εκθέτουν την προσφύγισσα σε άμεσο κίνδυνο ζωής.
Η RSA εκπροσωπεί νομικά τη Ζακιά* και εξάντλησε κάθε μέσο πριν προσφύγει στο ΕΔΔΑ. Η Ελλάδα έχει πλέον δεσμευτική απόφαση του Δικαστηρίου, η οποία ωστόσο παραμένει ανεφάρμοστη.
