Acentos Review published my short story. In "The Hazard Zone," a widowed young mother's life is upended as a menacing landslide creeps towards her California home. For the gardener's son, the yellow-tagged home is a refuge from his cramped apartment.

Took a short story writing class this evening, courtesy of the Women's Fiction Writers Association.

I wrote 8,500 words over the past 10 days. That was a stretch since I have a day job.

I was in Rome, and Italians from other parts of Italy asked me for directions. With my laminated map, passable Italian, and good sense of direction, I managed to help them.
