I lurk, sometimes ‘like’, and occasionally comment. I try to follow people who seem pretty decent. Personal insults demonstrate you’ve lost the argument. UK based.

I remember adverts from the 1970s including strap lines that I can still remember today. I see ‘stylised’ adverts today and wonder what they’re for. They’re certainly not memorable. Loads of marketing money spent on adverts I/we don’t remember. Marking companies selling what ‘they’ can do very well.

I somehow think the perpetrators of the Iran war didn’t do any scenario planning did they. Sheisters.

God (I’m not religious) this is depressing. The UK government needs to acknowledge the contributions and benefits (financial, cultural, companies, jobs) to the UK country from immigrants/immigration. They’re not all criminals, nor do they all want to take over the UK, FFS.

I just wish the UK government would stand up to the racist elements of society. No-one seems interested in thinking of how they would feel if they had to flee a war-torn country. It’s so depressing. That foreign students prop up many/most/all UK universities is moot. Sad days.

Great post, George. TY. A great example is the water companies in E&W. These b*stards are prepared to ride roughshod over our natural environment to make a profit. Aided and abetted by the regulator (EA mgt). Shows quite clearly money first, environment, health after. Should NEVER be the case.🤮

Quite. What a future these b*stards are setting up for our children. While they’re trying to set up their own with a barren wasteland doubtless for their exploitation. And their supporters say immigrants are the problem? I despair. I cannot describe in words what I’m feeling right now.

Didn’t Frog Face go out to see Orange Man during the US elections but got rebuffed and didn’t meet up with him? Does FF never learn? He’s either too needy or he’s really meeting up with Steve Bannon to discuss strategy. Either way he’s an abhorrent individual. I can’t stand him.

Probably because he knows this ‘war’ helps Russia. The longer it goes on the higher oil price will help Russia’s economy. Maybe this was the plan all along although somehow I doubt the US thinks about unintended consequences all that much. Too confident. They never learn.

How about 400 killed vs. two Israeli soldiers dead? Is Sky News sponsored by Israel?

I understand why Putin wants to destroy America, and I can guess why Trump is helping him do it. But I'll never figure out why Congress is letting him get away with it.

Is it the flats above Central Station that are on fire? 😬

08.03.2026 20:38 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

Exactly this. ☝️ The very same people clamouring for ‘full blown’ UK ‘participation’ in this attack on Iran are those that won’t accept people escaping war on the UK shores. I wonder how they would feel if the shoe was on the other foot and they were the ones being persecuted? I’m sick of it.

Oh, that’s. Sorry to hear this. Big hugs. ❤️

Quite. ‘Defensive’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. I pray to God (I’m not religious) the UK doesn’t escalate its involvement.

Fair point. Well made.

Right out of Israel’s playbook. Despicable is not really a strong enough word. How about heinous?

It was great to see. When Scotland play well and with confidence they’re a joy to watch. It’s a shame they conceded so many tries towards the end. Still…

I wish there was a way to make Farage an irrelevance. MSM, BBC could go a long way to achieving an aim like this. It’s pitiful how ‘clicks for dollars’ undermines all this. Depressing, too.

We (ok, I) can only hope the editorial becomes more pro-European. I’m sick of the Telegraph ‘influencers’ telling ‘us’ what to think.
