Thanks! It's wild to me that they've been around for 4 years, peaked in year 2 for a bit, and then had to do a strange company swap and keep themselves afloat while other groups of their popularity dropped like flies around them. I just hope it continues.

H1-KEY's Music Is The Underrated K-Pop Comfy Hug Of The Industry
H1-KEY's upbeat, yet grounded message in their music is perhaps just the dose of comfort K-Pop fans need to deal with a sometimes difficult world.
It wasn't enough to include #kpop group H1-KEY in today's #blueskies - I had to write an entire article about them.
It's been tough for me the past year, and their music has helped keep my feet on the ground & remember to grab happiness where I can. Check out why. thelowkeygeek.com/h1-keys-musi...

H1-KEY (νμ΄ν€) - λμ 첫μ¬λμκ² (To. My First Love) MV
YouTube video by Stone Music Entertainment
(2026-63/365) H1-KEY is perhaps one of the most underrated groups in #kpop right now. Their pop-rock style, anime opening-like tracks, and theme of prioritizing happiness/treasuring memories is just what I need right now. New album out today! #blueskies www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZsl...

Welcome to the club. Looks great!
I just told my parents I got one as part of raising money for charity. It was true but it softened the blow for them somewhat.

Beloved Tennessee shelter dog Scrappy finally finds her forever home after 803 days
The nearly 3-year-old German Shepherd mix marked her 800th day in the Tennessee shelter with a trip to the vet to treat a toe injury
(2026-62/365) Stories about pets finding their forever homes are somewhat common, but honestly, I never tire of reading about them, especially when they show up after as long as this energetic dog has spent in a shelter. #blueskies www.the-independent.com/life-style/t...

He Thought He'd Never See Another Car Show... Then He Heard A Familiar Roar
YouTube video by Happily
(2026-61/365) For family, things like doing something for a loved one to bring back a cherished hobby and sense of enjoyment are some of the best gestures. This is a testament to family but also community as well. #blueskies www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnZ6...

One of the reasons I find joy in these little community tools when they come out, besides the obvious, is the possibly hidden glee the developers have at something hilariously unhinged coming out of its use.
To wit: many of the examples interacting with this post.

Health Insights Magazine
Memes and legitimate cases for sci-fi villain of the week aside, here's the original source, which tries to push the shoulder massager product real hard written by a Dr. Schilling.

Basketball team surprises Lithuanian player by flying her mom to U.S.
YouTube video by Humankind
(2026-59/365) I never played organized sports myself, but I've been on lots of teams, and know the importance of having loved ones around to cheer you on. This was an awesome gesture by the Clemson women's team for their teammate with a mom far away. #blueskies www.youtube.com/shorts/R1isO...

I always see people guilty of endless doomposting say there's no alternatives, which isn't true. They're stuck in a mentality that if it doesn't fix the Issues (tm) now, it's worthless.
Yet people I see doing lots of good don't keep score. They're just doing. And they're not always online.

I put lots of energy into closing ranks and in positive change offline where I have agency. My temporary doomcatharsis/scrolling is way down and it's so much better.
If your ratio to posting about Bad Things (tm) is much higher than doing something actionable, no matter how big, change that.

βHe didnβt give upβ: N.S. dog missing for six months following crash reunites with owner
A Nova Scotia man has been reunited with his dog who had been missing for six months following a serious crash last summer.
(2026-58/365) As someone who's been a pet owner, I can't imagine worrying about a beloved dog who's been missing for half a year. The family never gave up and thankfully, both dog and owner are reuinted. #blueskies www.ctvnews.ca/atlantic/nov...

There's an old meme running around the gacha/mobile gaming community that once the collab with Persona 5 Royal comes out, it's the death knell for the game since at least 3 games shut down sometime after doing one.
What I'm saying is I'm waiting for the Joker Overwatch skin to know.

One Piece - Exclusive Clip | IGN Fan Fest 2026
YouTube video by IGN
(2026-57/365) I struggled to keep going with the original anime One Piece due to the sheer scale, but live action One Piece has drawn me back in. We need this kind of whimsy and adventurous stuff to get a break from things. #blueskies youtu.be/_uRj0cST_PQ?...

I really appreciated this writeup as someone who hasn't been able to hit up an arena-level concert. I'm very much a 3rd gen kpop fan at heart so to see TWICE thrive through all these tours and especially this latest one has been great to see.

Image from a Ghost article for a feature detecting email clients on link opening. The subtitled box credits Buttondown, a competitor, for open-sourcing the feature.
One reason why I switched to Ghost and away from Substack is because the team appears to genuinely care about improving the experience even if it comes from competitors. That they credit and celebrate Buttondown's open-sourcing of an idea they ended up using is awesome.

One reason why Dr. Angela Yu's 100 days of Python is so good is being able to put your code learning into immediate, practical things. The last two days I made a NATO alphabet generator to print names in that format and a (crude but working) password manager. I've had so much fun.

How becoming friends with an 82-year-old made age seem irrelevant
Headlines often highlight the divisions between older and younger Australians, but research suggests intergenerational friendships can help to reduce age-based discrimination in both directions, while...
(2026-55/365) It has to be in the right way and with care, but as someone positioned to work and associate with other generations, there's an exchange of knowledge and insight that can be valuable. Glad to see a study that thinks about this. #blueskies www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02...
