Thanks! It's wild to me that they've been around for 4 years, peaked in year 2 for a bit, and then had to do a strange company swap and keep themselves afloat while other groups of their popularity dropped like flies around them. I just hope it continues.

I always see people guilty of endless doomposting say there's no alternatives, which isn't true. They're stuck in a mentality that if it doesn't fix the Issues (tm) now, it's worthless.
Yet people I see doing lots of good don't keep score. They're just doing. And they're not always online.
I put lots of energy into closing ranks and in positive change offline where I have agency. My temporary doomcatharsis/scrolling is way down and it's so much better.
If your ratio to posting about Bad Things (tm) is much higher than doing something actionable, no matter how big, change that.

There's an old meme running around the gacha/mobile gaming community that once the collab with Persona 5 Royal comes out, it's the death knell for the game since at least 3 games shut down sometime after doing one.

I'm kinda holding pat with my 6 year old machine that I've upgraded, trying to ride out the AI bubble before it inevitably pops. With a big backlog of games to play I'm still good to go for now but still.
One reason why Dr. Angela Yu's 100 days of Python is so good is being able to put your code learning into immediate, practical things. The last two days I made a NATO alphabet generator to print names in that format and a (crude but working) password manager. I've had so much fun.
