Protests and pushback against data centers have delayed or blocked $98 billion in spending since 2024, even as tech companies spend millions on campaign-style ads touting their benefits.
Just the usual, another bailout for rich White men. Always all fuck around, zero finding out.
The Library of Congress has the largest flute collection on earth.
Dayton C. Miller, born #OTD 160 years ago, is the person to thank for that. Miller amassed nearly 1,700 wind instruments during his lifetime, donating them to the Library of Congress in the 1940s. β¬οΈ

One of the more annoying stereotypical Canadian habits of the husband is not only meandering in a story but asking for/pausing for/expecting listening confirmation responses all along the way. It's like yes yes yes get to the fucking point already!
What I find interesting about this line is that itβs an admission in order for this to happen, they need you to lose your ordinary intelligence that you already have.
This is why they want to get into schools. They want kids to lose basic capacity so that they have to rent it forever.
Nobody has ever needed to pay for a lot of what this guy wants people to pay for, because they can do it themselves. So these people have to decay that functioning by force, and then they can sell people a sorry substitute for it.
And before you tell me he doesnβt mean intelligence like most people already have, if he means the ability to write an email or look up a fact using an actual source, he absolutely does.
He means the ability to navigate your world using your own understanding and resources without relying on a server farm of "AI agents".

When we talk about intergenerational pressures on Black prosperity, a lot of ink is spilled outlining issues like being denied prime mortgages, and how few Black entrepreneurs get angel investors. Far less discussed is how, by making every problem more expensive, our wealth is systemically stripped.
When we discuss this stuff, a lot of White folks ask in shock: Why would anyone do that?
The answer is simple: Because it's profitable. Most systemic oppression is inherently profitable. It creates, maintains, and expands industries. Wealth we lose becomes a gain for others. It's opportunism.
I watched half of an episode and stopped paying attention. The constant and shrill bickering was annoying as fuck.
Dumb broads, I swear to god. Every fucking time. Selling us alll up the river.
At first I thought it was nail polish! Until I read the replies because that shit had to be something else. Speaking of shit, that's going to be some sparkly feces.

Centuries of British political tradition will end after Parliament voted to remove hereditary aristocrats from the unelected House of Lords, ousting dozens of dukes, earls and viscounts who inherited seats along with their aristocratic titles.
