Using a slightly modified DQXClarity tool to translate Dragon Quest X Online running on Debian 13 Linux.

Another guilty use of AI on my behalf in getting Dragon Quest X: Online to work on Linux. Using Claude.AI to understand the DQXClarity project, having it rewrite some code in Python and bypassing dqxclarity.exe by using powershell to run the python script directly for live translation.

Yeah... Windows is as comfortable as old leather. But so far I'm not regretting it but I have had a much cleaner slate.

There are other tasks such as degoogling and removing everything from my OneDrive but that's later Illudia's problem.

I use special formats for video game music so there are plugins that I use on winamp to listen to .spc, .minipsf, etc etc. it's one of those things I've had for years and never bothered to change it up.

Linux Update:
+ Got HorizonXI working using Faugus. It's running super smooth.
+ Discord/OBS is installed
+ Winamp works via wine and opens directly like when it was on Windows. Can play my special format music files just fine.
+ I can patch a ROM of FF6
- VSeeFace opens but is jittery AF 😡

Linux noob stresses out about Linux performance and takes a copy and paste from their discord to post on bsky but types out more than needed for alt text anyway
