If you are referring to our flagship CryptPad instance, cryptpad.fr, we are indeed facing performances issues now and then. Our team is working hard on a more resilient version of our service that we will release in the near future.
💅 New look! Users of cryptpad.fr will notice that all icons in CryptPad have been refreshed in our upcoming Autumn Release! We also redesigned the loading and creations screen to be much simpler.
These changes are available now on cryptpad.fr and will be released to everyone next week!

🧑🔧 We deployed a fix on our flagship CryptPad instance, cryptpad.fr. It addresses a rare case where parts of a Document, Spreadsheet or Presentation would disappear and couldn't be found in the history. The missing content could then only be retrieved by the instance administrators.

Hello! CryptPad doesn't require any CAPTCHA (which are very bad for accessibility anyway). We've found that most automated spammers cannot reach our documents, as those require JavaScript to be enabled and some computation (due to end-to-end encryption) before accessing the content. Give it a try! 😊

CryptPad is developed by a team of 9 people. A significant part of our funding comes from research project that are feature-driven so our staff cannot be swapped around as you assume. However we do have a designer and we are aware that we could do better
We happen to be increasing our focus on UX improvements at the moment so if there are specific pain points you would like to share we are open for feedback
