A clickbait thumbnail, reading "Ranking Human Food!" An insectoid Shirren holds a slice of pizza, looking contemplative.
My Starfinder character, an influencer named Mimi, shamelessly clickbaits.

It's an open standard. I blame companies for not supporting it over blaming WebP itself. On the Linux side of things, it's perfectly supported by everything.
Oooh, I love this artwork! Whose the artist, and is it from any specific book?
I feel like a lot of tech companies see the slopzone that Facebook has become as aspirational. So many places coercing you into that sort of content. Stop trying to get me to look at Shorts, YouTube! It's so demeaning!
For the last few months I've been seeing this bunny around town, I think they recognize me now?
I did the OST for Horny Haunts! It only took until my fourth furry porn game soundtrack, but I finally got to make sex music! Listen/Buy here: 1029chris.bandcamp.com/album/horny-...
True!
This picture is ridiculously mundane in a good way. Love it.
I wish more programs and sites would get on board with it, it's an open standard. Everything on the Linux side of things supports it just fine, everyone else can do it too.
I feel like this entire situation is due to the ephemeral nature of consoles, and console manufacturers being control freaks. I bet if people could buy old game roms for cheap, they totally would. It'd be unfair to expect developers to maintain a game for decades.
My legally acquired through YouTube "1080p" copy of Into The Spiderverse will only play at 480p since I use Linux. Thanks, guess I won't make that mistake again.
For how much work gets put into video DRM (blocking screenshare, lowering quality on linux, no .mp4 downloads of movie purchases, HDCP), it never actually works. Any movie or TV show has a 4K torrent within hours of its digital release. What's the point? It just punishes those who don't torrent.
Great news! It only took till my fourth porn game soundtrack, but I finally got to make porn music.
Modeled and Textured it with Blockbench, and did the animations within CPMs editor (which was a hassle). Blockbench is quite nice!
Made a cute raptor player model in Minecraft! Used the Custom Player Model mod. I need to figure out a name for her still.
Ough, I feel this hard. Great comic.
Gorgeous! ๐ฅบ
Happy New Year!!!
Oooh, cuuute!
There are local AIs that can't phone home, if you're worried about data harvesting.
I just wrote up a whole spiel about "There are ways to avoid using the apps and stuff" but I sounded like a "personal responsibility" conservative. I feel a lot of things are making me misanthropic these days, especially as a trans person. I don't know how to reconcile that and feel solidarity.
I'm not a parent though, so I don't know if what I'm saying is realistic. At the very least it's food for thought.
Perhaps you could teach your kids about how little their favourite music artists make from Spotify? Try to teach them about how these coercive systems work and how to spot them. Encourage them to explore physical media by taking them to a record store? Make sure they know how to manage files.
I even sense dread when I mention alternatives even exist, as if forgoing the placating convenience of the centralized, proprietary solution is a worse fate. It feels like a lot of people are unwilling to grasp that fighting these bastards means forgoing some convenience.
I try not to be in person, but I can have moments of frustration.
I worry the narrative that we're "forced" into these technologies has people less willing to try. I sense a deep well of helplessness when I talk to some people about ethical tech, like they've just given up hope of ever escaping.
