Vacillate between goals and systems.
Start with a directional goal. What systems could do that? But you learn while you execute, so the goal might change, as might the system.
Etc..
ah man I appreciate it!
I get a "5 things I am interested in" email from the guy behind ugmonk, and the latest email had a video from an account called "The Ash Files".
The narration was calm, the visuals paired perfectly, and the message hit me like a brick.

A FedEx truck on the sidewalk in east Nashville, where there are perfectly good roads all around it.
I wasnβt aware sidewalks could double as a fedex loading zone. I guess you can do anything in a truck these days.

ah gotcha - crowd source that kind of thing. Thats doable.
yea thats an interesting idea. Would require parsing through all the CMs stances, which could be time consuming.
for example if I cared about blocking the boring tunnel, I could see which CMs are doing their hardest to make a dent there?
that would be a fun project to build while I am still funemployed for the next few days. it could be expanded to city services too.
I DM'd you because its easier than going back and forth like this.

Have you seen Zen? Itβs the spiritual successor to Arc.
Itβs both the shortest month and the longest month.
There are two types of people in a coworking space: the ones who can live with a laptop and some headphones; and the ones who need their entire office setup with them at all times. They are not the same.

for what it's worth when I was in Portland back in 2024, I went to that pizza place and it was pretty damn good. I tried to go back a few days later and their oven had broke. I was legit sad.
anything can be the public square - we dont have to tolerate a shitty platform.
substack ainβt it I mean
Youβre writing about Christian nationalism and Nazis on a platform that is totally ok with Nazis and Christian nationalists using it. Subtract ainβt it.
