Pretty much anyone sentient right now can see the chasm between what is true and what is legal. With the waters muddied by legacy media’s soft touch and AI peddlers’ hard sells, it can be hard to parse out the difference between what is true, and what feels true, on top of what people might like to be true, what a plagiarism robot says is true, what the regime says is true, and on and on. Any time we cater to anything or one outside what we know to be true, our shared reality, and the ties that bind us to it and to one another, are diminished.

To give further context, our son’s pulmonologist pushed the “disability” coordination team to see that d/Deaf kids need access to their HANDS to communicate. Which means, minimize IVs, Pulse/Ox, & other things on hands! Also, KNOW which is the kid’s signing hand AND ask the parents when in doubt.

For current, future patients at NYU, our family is pushing every visit to ensure d/Deaf kids are seen & taken care of.

Good things are happening

yet, i have to wake up in a few hours and put on the best dad face to carry my 3 year old son into a surgical suite.

while this is just a sedated controlled procedure, i still have a shit-ton of trauma from when i performed CPR on him at 6 weeks old.
