These are ‘vintages’ my parents kept for Christmas or for unwitting visitors. A fair few items have gone down the drain, such as partial bottles of Irish liqueurs - as they’re typically dairy-esque.

A retrospective wine tasting & score from earlier this week
Here is a 2006 Graf Istvan, a Romanian Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon

Sadly this rare selection of red wine from the vaults was corked and was poured down the drain

Notes: hoppy, red berries & earthy/cork
Score: Nil as it was not consumed

From the cellar, it’s assumed to be at least a 20 year old ‘vintage’

Just gone to Lidl to grab some 🍋‍🟩 limes, let’s see if this works

Tonight’s choice of aged drinks is a Moscato Spumante, labelled as a ‘Quality Aromatic Sparkling Wine’.

Alas, it is lacking any sparkle and the aromatic is just pure syrup and would be an average desert wine.

Colour: kidney stone urea
Score: 4.5/10 (as is)

Sadly these are being kept for myself, a steal at £1.69 (the original price sticker).
