Saw The Matrix in 35mm back in September and it low-key reignited my love for the movie, when it was already my favorite movie of all time. Wonderful experience.
Watched the Takarazuka (Japanese all-ladies revue troupe) production of Castlevania and I was OFFENDED by how it scoffed at the canon of the games.
I didn't see a chained backdash ONCE.
(Seriously, though, it was great. I liked the part where Robespierre + the French Revolution rez'd Dracula.)
Unfortunate but unsurprising; its raster editing capabiliities are coming from an app very much focused on photogs' needs more than digital artists’ needs, so it’s reasonably deep in features for the former area and shallow for the latter.
Blender’s fabulous for 3D, but trying to use it for video when I’m *so* used to other more traditional NLVE workflows (I learned on a combination of FCP and Premiere)… IDK. Resolve just… has everything more or less where I expect it, lol.
I'm just so, so sick of spending $100/yr on Adobe shit. Affinity covers my PS needs, DaVinci Resolve for my video editing needs (Blender was just... a hair too "weird" for me, UX-wise, though it seems plenty powerful too), and I'm eyeing a perpetual Capture One license for Lightroom's role.
Yeah it's definitely not one-to-one. I've been using Affinity Photo off and on for years, but it was paid before the recent buy-out/merge of their different products. Most of what I need are either simple shitpost edits, or legit photo RAW developing and editing, and it handles both very well.
Just kept scrolling feed and realized your comment probably originated with Affinity discussion, lmao. Oh well, let it never be said that I don't know how to cluelessly shill a new toy I've been enjoying.
I'm so glad that Affinity is free now for a sufficient amount of what a ton of people need Photoshop for. It's a totally cromulent solution for even some very advanced stuff, whether you're doing vector or raster, and it's legit pretty great for photo edits. Having a sane baseline rec is so nice.
Goodbye friend. Let me know if you need any help with the spreadsheets.
A "12 for 12 Challenge" board, "12 Months to Play 12 games Recommended by 12 Friends" being the prompt. The first for spaces are filled with "Hollow Knight: Silksong", "Citizen Sleeper", "Nine Sols", and "1000 x RESIST" cover arts, with 8 open slots still to be filled. Thanks to @evilbadman.bsky.social , @satchamobob.bsky.social , and @amdusi.as for suggestions so far!
Thanks to Thanks to @evilbadman.bsky.social, @satchamobob.bsky.social, and @amdusi.as for a solid start to this thing!
I haven't actually been playing that many games these days -- Destiny 2 consumes a lot of my gaming time. I'd like to get back to a wider spread of games, if I can manage it.

New year, new-old-stock account; haven't been doing the social media thing lately, but gonna try it out again on here I think.
After hanging with @satchamobob.bsky.social last night, realized this was a really fun idea. Bit late to the party, help me fill in the grid!
Realized after posting this that this was my first actual post on this platform.
Happy New Year, lmao.
1) You fucking did.
2) What the fuck was... *waves hand at screen* that???
