I have played Magic for 10ish years, so I think I can say with some level of confidence that I shouldn't just be shitting the bed like this, especially in fucking Silver. So I am either the most unlucky person on Arena, or something is mechanically wrong in any number of aspects of the process.
The trend continues. The set is bad and it is made far worse by whatever the fuck is happening to me.
I legitimately hate saying this shit because I sound like a moron conspiracy theorist, but every consecutive game I get fucked over in Arena I'm one step closer to believing that something is wrong with the shuffler. I don't think I've had a single good TMNT draft game. All flood or screw.
Begging all the Brawl players out there to have a single original thought. You aren't interesting or special or good at the game for playing every boring meta deck.
I wish that the Switch 2 wasn't just a $700 expansion for the Switch to make the games actually run well.
hey look a fun history lesson!
sorry but if you hear venture capital and in the current political climate of tech and billionaire fascism donβt think to google, it says something about how apolitical you are π€·ββοΈ
capitalism is bad and Iβd just never go to any VC draft lol
I realised that TMNT added Food Chain to Arena so I added it to Etali. I feel better now.
Okay yeah small sets are fucking abyssmal. I cannot play around all my opponents getting 6 of every removal spell in the set.
I just wanted to try out a TMNT draft and instead I flood every single game. Shit like this makes me want to uninstall Arena since it only ever happens on there.

Repost with the greatest cartoon theme song of all time.
If we can extend the idea of a cartoon to stop motion animation, this might be my favourite. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hw4w...
(In actuality there are probably like.. anime OPs that I like more, but that's basically a whole other category.)

Just got around to watching the latest LoadingReadyLive, and I love Name That Shame. Guessing your friends by their top 5 most played Steam games. People were already balking at 2k hrs in Civ 6. On a scale of 1 to laughed out of the moonbase, how cooked am I? @loadingreadyrun.com
I'm seeing a lot of people saying they're charged around 35USD, which is about 50AUD. I shopped around for TMNT, which is not something I thought I'd have to do, but the cheapest I could find here was 65AUD/~46USD, so I feel for anyone actually paying 50 bucks. Our only other choice is not attend.
Prereleases costing $50 is a bigger problem than ANY Universes Beyond set. Magic needs to be financially accessible, but especially prerelease.
Anyway, point is, even if you don't officially visit somewhere, photo ops like that can be a real bad look, if you pose with the wrong kinds of people. And lemme be clear, those are the wrong kinds of people.
To tag both companies is a bit different. You can't control if they tag wotc. That certainly doesn't make it official, but why are they tagging their own company? They are making the choice to link your two companies, and paint you in whatever light the public will see when they see that company.
And no I don't think it's unreasonable to background check friends of friends' companies, especially if they're going to farm clout off you visiting their offices. Like, if they had just posted a photo and "Wow got to meet designer so-and-so, and play magic with them." then sure, but..
I don't particularly care that the mtg designer wasn't *officially* invited to whatever palantir-adjacent company. As soon as the boss makes you being there a photo op and social media moment, you've been made into a special guest of wherever you visit, even if you weren't sent by wotc.
I love this, but for some reason my brain immediately went to the first panel looking like the tsuba of the katana of some kind of pokemon/ditto samurai.
Seeing a Magic designer cozy up to a fascist, nevermind one who is chairman of fucking Anduril, nevermind one closely associated with Peter fucking Thiel, makes me feel pretty conflicted and pretty sick, gotta be honest.
Really don't know what else to say here. Disappointing, to put it very mildly
Just saw some clips of Toph from the Avatar fighting game and she looks so good. Unless I'm mistaken I'm pretty sure it's a flavour fail that she can do any aerial moves though.
digital drawing of the user and her fiance, spencer, who is handing her a deck box. spencer: OK youβre new to Magic The Gathering. We gotta get you a new deck. The deck box reads: Group Hug! Miss Bunny Foo Foo. The deck box depicts a beautiful rabbit woman with a lovely floral hat and big smile. maddi: If you guys are pranking me itβs not funny. spencer: NO! Sheβs actually really good! stranger poking his head out from the side of the panel: she is. sheβs really good.
I have since learned that Ms. Bumbleflower is a beast
π΅Don't target me please!
I've only got these two 3/3s!π΅
omg! Moving to Japan is so exciting! Honestly, I'd wondered how you were doing after not seeing you online in a little while. Obviously no obligation to broadcast your every move to the world, but it's nice to hear such a big update!
I wish you a stress free move and safe travels.
As someone who's trying to collect every card in foil that depicts a frog, I offer a summoning circle in the form of my binder's cover and Helga's page in it!
I moved house last year, and I'm still looking for things, so I know how it feels. Best of luck in finding your deck!
