With the exception of Send Help and Crime 101 the start of the movie year has felt very lackluster for me,

So many films were either about people being miserable or the movies themselves just did so little for me,

Hopefully this improves as we get further into the year

There was a scene with a Cat in Crime 101 and all I could think was 🥺

How to Make a Killing is okay but nothing spectacular,

Crime 101 is a solid thriller with a great cast,

The Bride is a mess, well made and Jesse Buckley gives it her all but not even she can save a script that has no direction or consistent tone

Kurtwood Smiths lines in Things Past sound very much like the kind of lines Rene Auberjonois would say as Odo if he were more like the Founders than he ultimately became

Marc Alaimo is so good as Gul Dukat in Deep Space Nine so far, his misguided narcissism/false positivity and slimy persona are a joy to watch and S5 gives him a lot to work with

Things Past is a good Odo episode that also returns to the Occupation era of DS9 when it was known as Terok Nor

Decided to skip Let He Who is Without Sin as it’s not very good and was clearly hobbled by the restrictions of syndication, if it was made now then it would probably work a lot better especially given modern day Trek’s need to play catch up when it comes to sexuality

Worf hating Tribbles 😂

Trials and Tribble-ations was DS9’s 30th anniversary episode and blended the crew with the original Trouble with Tribbles episode using Forrest Gump tech

Back rewatching Deep Space Nine and The Assignment is the usual “Let’s Torture O’Brien” episode which also has the first mention of the Pah’wraiths
