Building elevated viaducts for trains then running them at 55 mph is an interesting trade-off.
But I’m still going to judge transit systems on whether they can beat driving between downtown and the airport and Link still fails that test.
It’s been (mumble) years since I last rode Link between SeaTac and Sodo. Some of my initial impressions were somewhat misguided; they appear to have actually managed to get dedicated right-of-way in the middle of the street and signal priority working, neither of which MUNI can muster.
