That’s really unfortunate because this kind of thing happens so infrequently the UX to privacy tradeoff here would be worth it

Unironically I’m pretty sure zero knowledge proofs would be a pretty good solution to this whole age verification kerfuffle

S2PA and MUXL: Bringing Video to Content-Addressed Systems

Excited to announce our collaboration with @ipfs.tech and https://dasl.ing on two new standards for the next thousand years of decentralized social video: S2PA and MUXL!

Together they give us a standard for self-certifying and content-addressable media in the decentralized social ecosystem.

So let me get this straight today I've seen:

1. The most fun I've ever seen someone have doing any sport
2. One of the FILTHIEST goals in hockey you'll ever see
3. Trump tariffs declared illegal
4. It's Friday

today kicks ass

Alysa Liu holding up an American flag

you don't have to like it, but this is what peak progressivism looks like

the left will go so much farther if it embraces patriotism and joy as a rallying cry to aspire for the country to be better

I’m really not a figure skating fan but it is impossible not to smile at this performance. You can FEEL the fun she is having.

Megan Keller's goal was one of the FILTHIEST I have ever seen in my life. I could watch that highlight over and over and over again.

10/10, no notes, pure cinema

YouTube and podcasts have been an absolute lifeline for me throughout my career.

I've never lived in a place that had a large dev community and have always felt like an outsider in software. Without YT and podcasts I would be nowhere near as successful as I have been thus far.

If the unix philosophy of "text as the universal interface" wasn't solidified before with LLMs it sure is now.

Agentic coding tools like claude code make unix style tools MORE valuable than they were when they were created 50 years ago.

Photo of a back hallway in Pike Place Market. On the right side of the frame are two windows with warm sunlight spilling into the hallway. The warm sunlight illuminates the mid-century style paint scheme of half painted walls in a pale red color.

The amount of people that think engineering is only writing code is quite concerning.
