YouTube and podcasts have been an absolute lifeline for me throughout my career.

I've never lived in a place that had a large dev community and have always felt like an outsider in software. Without YT and podcasts I would be nowhere near as successful as I have been thus far.

If the unix philosophy of "text as the universal interface" wasn't solidified before with LLMs it sure is now.

Agentic coding tools like claude code make unix style tools MORE valuable than they were when they were created 50 years ago.
