In some places it was more of a stream than a path.
The path through the woods on this morning's dog walk was a bit flooded.

This curling is a bit stressful... π¬
How much generating capacity do you have, and what proportion do you usually get? Just curious...
I think I'm tired of this rain now. Can it stop please?
A couple of years ago I found an acorn sprouting in the garden. I assume a squirrel forgot about it! Now in a pot and starting to bud in its third spring but still very small. They do grow very slowly!
I have just realised that, for the first time ever and completely by coincidence, I am not working the day after the #SuperbOwl. Maybe I'll give it a watch and see what all the fuss is about?
Getting to your first day of retirement and thinking "What now?" is not the way to do it!
It is not unexpected, and I'm sure it will all be fine. It is just an adjustment, and I need to work through it and let things settle into a new pattern. That will just take a little while. But I have plans so I won't be bored!
Indeed. Definitely weird. Definitely exciting. A bit of unease at the unknown.
Yes. All good here. Just three weeks to go now...
I'm still playing with it, trying to figure out what I can do with it. But I'm looking forward to using it for real. My original idea was to use it for photography, with video as a side benefit, but now I'm thinking the video might be what I use most. We'll see!
That's a DJI Neo 2. Small but very clever. It's obstacle avoidance is much better than I was expecting.
It was nice to have a bit of sun on this morning's dog walk!
Happy Birthday!
I recognised the voice before I saw the face... !
I was expecting the same here, but it hung in better than I thought it would.
I see the kids have been making the most of their snow day from school...
Windows + WSL Ubuntu is my combo too. It feels like the best of both worlds (although I'm sure some would say Windows isn't the best of anything :-)
And part 2. I was impressed at how well it managed to find its way around the overhanging branches, including in this one apparently trying something, deciding that won't work and stopping for a think before continuing.

Torture testing the "follow me" mode on my new toy, part 1. I deliberately set it off quite high so it would have things to navigate around.
This is a DJI Neo 2.

2025 has broken historical climate records with provisional Met Office figures showing:
π‘οΈ warmest year on record for the UK
π sunniest year on record for the UK
π Below-average rainfall (90%)
Brown fern leaf, with snow on top and water dripping from it as the snow melts.
I took my camera out for a walk in the snow earlier. I wasn't hugely inspired, to be honest, but this caught my attention. I might need to work on the processing a little...
Happy New Year Steve!
Santaβs flight path on Flightradar24.
Looking to track Santa this year? You can find him on Flightradar24 at www.flightradar24.com/R3DN053/3d9f... right now as he warms up the reindeer and tests sleigh upgrades.

It has been a bit wet today, hasn't it. Dug walking in the woods was already muddy enough. Sammy needs a shower afterwards half the time.
And another one. OK, OK, I'm a bit of a W&G fan...
