My job is not worth 2 days off as much as I could use it.

I’m really pissed my boss is not letting me use my bereavement time. But I am 100% sure he will retaliate against me if I show him the policy or worse.

It's hard not to take it hard when someone declines a rpg game. I know it's probably not me, but my brain likes to disagree.

I should just go to bed.

The one thing I’m optimistic about is TTRPGs. Everything else in my life sucks.

Once more I forgot to get my meds before I came to bed.

I had some food so I’m feeling a little better. Still have things I could be doing but also tired.

I should have taken some meds before I lied down.

It’s not fair I should be stressed on my day off.

I’m really short on money because I suck at working and I’m really hopeful my check comes soon even though that’s a super short-term solution.

Also the layout for the PHB is a bunch better.

I have only briefly read through the core books but to be honest it’s hardly any different than 5e. Mostly a little clean up, making things clearer and more consistent. At first I didn’t like what they did to NPC casters but they really leaned into the shorter fights thing.

I’m going to try. To keep trying. To make things good and right in my life. I’m not sure I deserve it but I promise I’m trying even if I’m not as good as everyone else.

Random add on: I don’t like game terms being capitalized in 5.5 though I completely understand why.

Medium hot take: the older I get the more I appreciate the structure of D&D 5.x even if there are some RAW stuff I don’t like. With the caveat that I’ve not played a ton of different game systems since I was a kid.

This weekend already feels half over.

I also continue having trouble connecting working to money.

CRPG was absolutely used early in the industry. I know I used that initialism on the gold box SSI games if not earlier.

I just had to help a customer with something I find gross. Which is hard to do. At least in a product.
