Sometimes I think about how I heard that ranch dressing / flavor is called American dressing / flavor in at least parts of Europe and I hope one day we can have a legacy that positive again.

I notice you.
Okay I want to run my low-magic Victorian-tech homebrew world. But if I am going to do so why don’t I just run Masque of the Red Death?
Thing I learned the hard way: if you’re going to run a murder mystery, don’t give the PCs a rod of resurrection.
How late should I stay up?
I assume it’s by Snorri Sturluson.
I feel you. It’s why I didn’t kickstart the fungi one. Hit me in a wrong time financially.
Always a struggle. Almost as much as getting the group together on a regular basis.
They have a book on minerals too which is just as good. And working on one on fungi if I recall correctly. And since the author(s) are writing for a TTRPG audience it’s easier to adapt. I could go on and on about how much I love these books for world-building lol.
A book: herbalists primer by Anna Urbanek.
Not exactly what you’re looking for but a great system agnostic supplement.
Okay tomorrow I need to do laundry, take a shower, and do some cleaning. Someone remind me in the morning.

Also part of getting into a new game version is instinctively hating any changes lol.
You know part of it is not liking the 5.5e formatting which is funny yet infuriating to me.
Yesterday felt like a day off. Today felt like a Thursday.
Having reviewed my past D&D game notes, I maintain that @rderekp.bsky.social was one of the most fun DMs and that holy hand grenade was still my best problem solve
Can’t decide if it would be stressful or if it would be pleasantly hyperfocus.
Yep! He went to college in Wisconsin which is likely why I remembered that piece of trivia ha ha.
As I recall, the name of the professor Indy says in that scene was the name of a prof Harrison had in college.
That is a really insightful look at the movie.
Aw shucks.
Probably not going to. I don’t want to update until I have money to buy more books and Joost’s character sheets are updated. I also am especially vexed by a particular creature that may never be updated.
Speaking of UMass, I often wonder what would have gone on with my life if I’d gone there chasing that girl instead of breaking up with her. Probably much the same as I still would have undiagnosed and untreated neurodivergency and ended up back home anyway.
For some reason it confuses me when a college basketball team is good when that college’s football team is not. (Looking at you UMass.)
Thinking about updating the monsters in my adventures to 5.5 even though I don’t feel comfortable enough with it lately to update the rest adventure.
I did already update the ones to Monsters of the Multiverse where applicable.
Probably the oldest book I still have.
The government is asking for public comments on whether banks should be able to deny you from buying legal goods at their own whim (i.e. how they're cracking down on art)
Tell them you don't want to be told how to spend your money

When is it appropriate to determine your nostalgia is actually remembering a better time.
