the heartbeat and breathing limitations are pretty hard, without either robots can have panic attacks without realizing why, but they can learn to adapt to different body shapes and limb types/counts, as long as they start out in something resembling human baseline

fun fact, Messenger, a book I still at plan to rewrite (at some point), had robots with this problem

the setting's tech was only capable of creating sapient robots through 'human emulation', without lungs, a pulse, and roughly human limb counts and proportions, they could run into massive issues
