As a sports fan, a person, it all makes me so so sad. Transphobia is such a fucking waste of time.
But limiting participation in a sport based on something assigned at birth is absurd on every level. Like, what does birth have to say about Steph Curry's potential in the NBA?
Because of this variety, we're able create new sports (all the time): new body type, new type of competition. So, personally, I'm always happy for new sports and new rules in old sports. It generally means more people get to compete at higher levels and in more ways.
