i should not be shocked that the company that implemented some form of cartridge DRM would forego implementing some sort of local control into their product
also putting in new cartridges doesn't work right now. it puts the unit in some weird state where it gets stuck trying to determine the cart
Screenshot of the Pura app showing an offline diffuser
Screenshot of the Pura status page showing that the MQTT broker has a partial outage
can't control my wi-fi connected diffuser because their MQTT broker is having problems and despite the fact that this thing has a bluetooth radio, it apparently has no local control in the app. i love modern technology
A picture of an LG TV on the webOS home menu showing Microsoft Copilot installed
Oh because that's exactly what I need on my TV, fucking Microsoft Copilot
oh it's super overkill if you only have a couple phones but it makes setting up the phones super easy in my experience x3 chan-sccp was the thing I was trying to get working on v17 before giving up lmao
I was trying to set up a trunk to voip.ms at one point, but CallManager is... kinda confusing to set up versus FreePBX in terms of this :x
everything I saw said you needed to run CUBE (which would require a virtual router) but that was a lot of setup. I need to play with that again at some point x3
getting all the CallManager stuff isn't hard for me since I can just use my Cisco account at work to grab pretty much everything I need, but that's very much a luxury not everyone has that wants to get into this stuff lol
honestly after messing with it for long enough, I'm convinced that if you insist on using SCCP/skinny as your protocol, you should just set up CallManager even though it is a massive pain to get going x3 (in terms of finding the software and getting everything connected together, at least)
oh cool! I'll have to see if I can grab one second-hand, I think I was under the impression it was a pain in the ass because of the last time I tried getting a Cisco SCCP phone to work with FreePBX :,3
never actually seen one of these models... the newest I have is an 8851 :x how bad is getting FreePBX to work with these? I've just used CallManager since it (mostly) just works
A Surface Pro 9 with a hub plugged in, with power, a USB stick, a USB-C to USB-A for the keyboard, and a first generation Steam Controller for the mouse
trying to partition my surface and nothing works except for this specific combination of things i have lying around to control the keyboard and mouse
Screenshot of a GitHub pull request. Copilot reviews and says: "This PR attempts to modernize the GitHub Actions workflow for pull requests by updating the Node.js version and the setup-node action version. However, the changes contain critical version specification errors that will cause the workflow to fail. Updates setup-node action from v1 to v6 Changes Node.js version from 15.x to LTS with codename "Krypton"" User plusreed comments, quoting "However, the changes contain critical version specification errors that will cause the workflow to fail" with: "The workflow passed so fuck you." User plusreed merges the pull request into main.
Genuinely what the fuck lol. How is it this bad.
Screenshot of GitHub showing Copilot reviewing a pull request with the comment "Copilot encountered an error and was unable to review this pull request. You can try again by re-requesting a review."
I'm glad GitHub pours time into this stupid shit that barely works and leaves the rest of the website in a state of disarray
got a surprise email tonight and got reminded of this
Header on nomadcomplex.com which says "!! If you see "Shipping Not Available" at checkout, please refresh and/or try again shortly! Our host is currently experiencing overload for Cyber Monday."
hmm, maybe it'll work now?
Screenshot of Garmin Express showing that map updates are available with the estimated install time being 4 hours and 52 minutes.
Personally I think it is nice of Garmin to factor in the "fucking around until Garmin Express doesn't shit the bed" time alongside the time estimate for how long it will take to download and install map updates
Screenshot of the Sound output flyout on Windows 11 with "Surface Omnisonic Speakers" select with "Dolby Atmos for Speakers" selected for spatial sound.
i have toggled this spatial sound option to "Off" so many times. windows keeps resetting it to dolby atmos for some reason and it is genuinely infuriating because it sounds TERRIBLE
A notification from BARQ with the title "Event cancelled" and the body "Event Furry Weekend Atlanta has been cancelled :("
lol huh??
A screenshot of a folder called "hqemu", short for HQ Emulator, which emulates a HQ Trivia game for the HQ app
i was JUST looking through some files the other day and realized i still have all my code to emulate an HQ game lol
A screenshot of SheepShaver running Mac OS 9 with the Crayon OS theme applied.
also this theme looks SO good
i kinda love how old macOS had such a cool variety of themes. modern macOS is just boring
A photo of a WWDC25 badge.
checked in!
i will say. Buble
I HATE THAT I CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT RN UGHHHH
objectively the funniest part about it is the fact that cisco shipped this enabled by default and initially you couldn't control it from callmanager. so if you weren't aware of this feature, your phone would just randomly tell you to shut the hell up
A Cisco CP-8851 phone, showing a person with their finger over their lips with text to the right saying "That's a bit loud! Consider lowering your voice."
learned today that on newer Cisco phones, there is a "shut the hell up" mode that yells at you if you're talking too loud
A screenshot showing two apps under a "Kensington" folder in the start menu, "Kensington Konnect" and "Kensington Konnect (Keyboards)"
so who at kensington thought this was a good name for the keyboard app they make. did they not see what acronym it forms
I just want you to know I was loading servers into a rack and saw this set of notifications on my phone and it genuinely made me stop for a good 5 minutes to get my phone on a VPN so I could get on Steam but the picture didn't load lmfao
Two Steam Chat messages from Pope Francis, one sharing an image and the other asking "do you think she read scripture"
yes! I use BSManager and I'm pretty sure it does support modding that version too github.com/Zagrios/bs-m...
