The Gov announced a £50 million investment to deepen understanding of mental health, shaped by lived experience.

This matters. Research that looks at the whole person, not mental health & substance use in isolation.

Our Communications and Co Production team attended the @recoverycymru.bsky.social first Recovery Festival in Wales.
Lots of inspirational stories to listen to, people to network with and music to listen to.
Watch this space for more on this.
One of the harmful myths about drug & alcohol use is that someone needs to "hit rock bottom" before they can get help.
The reality: Early intervention saves lives. Recovery can begin at ANY stage. There is no 'right' time.
Recovery starts with reaching out, and it looks different for everyone.
September is Recovery Month.
We believe that recovery should be on your terms.
Recovery doesn't look the same for everyone. It can be about safer use, reducing harm, rebuilding relationships, finding stability, or abstinence.
Whatever recovery looks like, it deserves recognition and celebration.
Theme 1 = Alcohol Dependence
Topic 1 = Alcohol Related Brain Damage: Prof Gareth Roderique-Davies from University of South Wales Addictions Research Group will present research relating to #arbd for discussion

For some, the path here has been more complicated by drugs or alcohol, their own use, or someone else's.
You are not defined by today's results, or by your past.
We believe in meeting people where they are, without judgment.
