yea, that makes sense. This is the first hugely popular world to drop with creator economy implementation too, so unlike Popcorn Palace this one is actually helping keep the lights on

For me it's not so much that this world is getting favored it's that world creators have been asking for these features for a long time but when Joe Popular asks they get added shockingly quickly. When VRC has a track record of taking years to add requested features it feels like a slap in the face

This brings me so much upset feelings that I'm not sure I can bare it.

I fear that, like priority queue, it will get abused. I seriously hope that it doesn't turn into another "good idea on paper, bad in practice" thing like the queue

nice to see vrchat finally do something about horribly unoptimized avatars. Now they need to grow some balls and add hard limits to what can be uploaded, 2 million polygon avatars should not exist

The fact that a character controller rewrite was marked "In Progress" on the Canny for almost a year (in 2024) before being abandoned shows that they really don't care anymore. They have no interest in fixing the core functions of the game anymore, just keep slapping more microtransactions on top.
