I mean no one in Germany at any local level likes housing except the fDp and they’re dead. So abandon all hope and just go vote for the CDU for the federal elections

CDU since they’re the most likely to take developer bribes (laudatory)

The spd deserves its death. It should just announce its being split between die linke and the greens, those two at least believe in things

Iiirc they were able to keep the subsidies for rooftop solar, which is neat but not at all important compared to getting rid of gas and oil heating

I'm still so angry at the GroKo repealing the heat pump law. The timing was ironic, doing it so shortly before gas prices shot up with the Iran war.

But the law was passed in the wake of Russia's full scale invasion! This was one of the main arguments in favour!!

Also as a west coast American the way people talk about the bahbhofsviertel is so funny. Calm down it’s not so bad

Yesterday, electricity for 13:30-13:45 was trading at zero.

Looks unbelievable given the light fog we’re in right now. In March. In Northern Europe

No tax only extensive and expensive social services! What are you a bunch of a dogs?

All Americans yearn to have Dubai taxes and social services, some just pretend they want to tax the rich instead of everyone else

Mmm I love Chinese interprovincial competition via manufacturing, it never leads to absurd levels of province level debt

Bigger symptom of all anglophone public procurement being awful. From transit to roads to the military it’s all a symptom of deeper rot

That happy man/sad man meme but it's BlueSky saying "haha I don't care that gas prices are going up, I take public transit" and then BlueSky realizing what rising gas prices will mean for their DoorDash burrito taxi prices

I’d have to paint the containers. The maersk only branding is so boring compared to real life with dozens of different livery on the containers

Im sure there’s firms that still do it, but as the government there’s no longer any reason to allow it, construction labor will come and will seemingly stay without the need to take passports (also this might be ignorance, but it seems not that effective since emergency passports exist)

Everybody Loves to Hate Dubai. Here’s Why They’re Wrong. The city, under fire from Iran and assailed by critics, is a beacon of opportunity for people around the world.

"If you are an ambitious professional in a developing countryβ€”a Syrian doctor, an Egyptian lawyer, a Filipino engineer, and Indian accountantβ€”you stand little chance of quickly securing the visas and permits to work in your profession in the West. But in Dubai, you can..." (gift link)

I see no mention of toilets, and if they were doing them, youd expect them to be mentioned
