I am really proud to have the words of my song “Ocean Cliff Drive” in volume 5 of Lyrics as Poetry.

Holding my own copy makes me happy. It’s nice to double that happy by getting to the ice before it melts, and smashing it.

I am sorry to miss this show, but I cannot safely get to Minneapolis today. My Dad’s ghost would be so mad at me if I took the risk. Even with my super parka.

But, the weather is looking ok to get to MPLS for my Sunday afternoon show at Wolf House. 💗

I can’t find the tie where the end begins. But I once saw the sunlight on the string.

“Some Don’t Know”

Some don’t know why
we love each other.

Some don’t know why
we love ourselves.

We should serve.
Yet disappear.

Here I am. Here I am!

I love you. I love you!

We can see in the dark

Out on Wilson Pond, the ice was plenty thick.

Even the cedars couldn’t stop the low sun. The winter light met my gaze, which was too friendly for me.

When facing south, I looked through my lashes. It made a frame with room for one thing, then another.

I will play an intimate, afternoon show in Minneapolis on Sunday, Feb 23 at Wolf House.
