Ernie & Bert demonstrate the difference between heavy and light

A show where two friends (Matthew Gaydos & Sam Schultz) have made the most intimate and unbreakable pledge two people can make: to watch every single piece of Muppet-related media they possibly can, in chronological order. bio.site/kermitment

I appreciate the Muppets. I make no assumptions about your appreciation of the Muppets. Do you want to talk about the Muppets?

I want to emphasize that these are dynamically inserted ads so everyone will get different ads and we didnβt approve anything. We tried to keep our settings to where nothing too offensive would sneak in and we want to know if anything bad is happening! But we didnβt do it on purpose if it does!
Also, if you ever feel like sponsoring a Muppet podcast, our inbox is always open, and our rates are reasonable: mail@kermitment.com
HEADS UP!
We're experimenting with some pre and post episode ads
If you get any ads for things you think we wouldn't want to be associated with, or if it serves you like 5 minutes of ads before an episode, please let us know!
And you can always listen to ad-free episodes for free at Kermitment.com

ATTENTION: We're taking the next two weeks off from uploading because we've got some traveling to do for our day job.
Until we return, please enjoy our new episode with @brianjayjones.com, which is available now at kermitment.com and anywhere you listen to your podcasts.

A belated Happy Valluntune's Day to you all!
Out now wherever you get your podcasts!
The Muppets actually had 2 US network specials which acted as pilots for doing what would become THE MUPPET SHOW. Neither was picked up beyond a special, & it would take Lew Grade & a move to London (& international syndication) to get THE MUPPET SHOW. The 1st was 1974βs THE MUPPETS VALENTINE SHOW
It time to pay attention
It time to watch the stage
It time to meet the Morppets
So do it
Remember when we used to watch an entire year's worth of Muppet media in one episode?
Today is the perfect day to revisit Episode 16 of Kermitment, from all the way back in 2021!

Update to this story: The AI Muppet images have been removed.
The AI Muppet images have been replaced.
Next time on the podcast, we'll be joined by @brianjayjones.com as we watch the very last episode of The Jim Henson Hour!
We'll discuss the episode and the summer of 1989, when The Muppets were almost sold to Disney.
Watch what we watch here:

And yes, the Pigs in Wigs title card does looks like it could potentially be AI as well, but that's a little harder to confirm.
But if you look at how the hair melts into the chair and one of the legs of the chair doesn't seem to connect, there are some signs pointing towards AI
Here's a story about Disney, AI, & The Muppets.
We love to see The Muppets being promoted right at the top of Disney+. Disney using their immense promotional power to push the Muppets is exactly what we want.
But wait... zoom in... is that is a gloveless Miss Piggy?
So, yes. There is an unsettling, gloveless picture of Piggy out there.
But it's not an alternate version of the puppet that they created for some reason.
It's just some official Disney-branded AI slop, straight from their app, featured right there as the #1 movie right now on Disney+
