I have to agree, it would be good to see more pure EV models from Chery. Hopefully they launch more soon.

Last week, I drove the brand new Omoda 7 in the UK. This car goes up against the likes of the Nissan Qashqai in terms of pricing, but offers a larger car, that is also a plug-in-hybrid.

It also:

- Uses the rear wheel steering to reduce yaw motion to make the ride in the back more comfortable and less boaty.

- The regenerative braking is reduced down to level 1 and cannot be changed, this also helps reduce harsh movements for back seat passengers.

It is very impressive, I'll cover it more in my video but essentially it:

- Uses the front facing camera to scan the road ahead for potholes, undulations and bumps. It'll then use this data, in combination with the satellite navigation to smooth out the ride in real time.

The test car this week is the super impressive updated electric Genesis G80. This new one has electronic self closing rear doors, rear wheel steering, 'chauffeur mode' and over 350 miles of range.
