Had a fun visit to the Greenham Common Control Tower today with the Bracknell ARC to visit the Newbury and District ARS.
Bracknell Amateur Radio Club will be joining the celebrations at the Farley Wood Community Center VE80 Celebrations this Sunday 4th May. The club will be operating a Special Event Station with the callsign GB6VE.
Come along and join the celebrations Sunday 4th May, 12pm to 5pm.

Is there an option to switch off reposts to avoid seeing so much duplication in Blue sky?
I've used a Watson glass mount 2m/70 antenna on the rear screen of my car for a couple of years now and have been surprised how well it has worked. Only running a 5w Handheld through it but it reaches the local repeaters ππΌ
The accompanying letter says that 50 donations on average help 100 people, that's good to know.
The mic is just a cheap one from AliExpress and the plug cable bend protector was too long so it tended to work its way back out Every few mins. Cutting some of it off did the trick :)
Whatever happened to Deputy Dog?
Today I fixed an intermittent PTT fault on my cheap Quansheng that I use in the car. It was caused by the hand mic plug not pushing in to the radio socket fully. Fixed with a penknife and no soldering required. βΊοΈ
