A BBC Sound Effects LP from 1970 framed and on the wall. The LP cover is divided into a 5x5 grid, the top two rows are coloured orange and the bottom three are blue. Each square has an image relating to the sound effect on the album., apart from the middle three right which contain the name ‘Sound Effects No 1’ and the BBC logo.

Another ‘for the frame’ purchase. Very cool looking BBC Sound Effects LP from 1970. I had no idea until recently that The Jam’s Sound Affects album cover was based on this. #TheJam #vinyl #VinylArt

The other thing that struck me was there are lots of similarities with Ronnie Lane post Faces, farm, wrote and played what the hell he wanted to, toured in a bus, all filmed for the excellent documentary The Passing Show. If you haven’t seen that I highly recommend it. #ManOnTheRun #ThePassingShow

Germany, Holland, the Scandinavian countries including Teeland), also in Czechoslovakia and Hungary. has heen particularlv common in Britain (Sharp noted man varsions of it in Somerset alone: though curiously enoug Covin Griet who collected several hundred ballads in the folkloristically rich parish of New Deer, Aberdeenshire, found prefer to call it_ and two of these he describes only four versions of Lord Ronald - as many Scottish singers It is possible that the ballad began its life in Italy, where it was printed on a Veronese broadside dated 1629 under the title of L'Avvelenato (The Poisoned One).

My favourite version of #LordRandall , however, is on this record. It’s the one I heard first which I guess is one reason, but I also think it’s a better performance. When you’re unaccompanied there is nowhere to hide! #vinyl #folk #xp
