Funny that the automatic captioning call her "Mrs Gnome".

Je ne comprends mΓͺme pas qu'ils puissent penser que cette stratΓ©gie ne va pas Γ  terme dΓ©clencher le pire. Ignorance de l'Histoire ou bΓͺtise profonde...

Has anyone checked if Al Khamenei was in the Epstein files ?

I doubt they really care...

La seule diffΓ©rence entre Quentin D. et les terroristes de Charlie ou du Bataclan, c'est le livre religieux auxquels ils adhΓ©raient.

And having a study that cost $750M be ignored is quite a deterrent.

So not only are scientists leaving the US, but major labs are going to avoid marketing new products there as well ?

These look like concentration camps, and this looks like the beginning of ethnic cleansing.

You mean concentration camps.

Really, no. In Greek or Indian mythology, gods plays with men as toys, while they have their own ways between them. The concept of an overseeing single god that will damn you if you don't follow some rules is specific to abrahamic monotheisms.

Any theorem the Mayans may have come up with is still true in our own way of expressing math, and would also be true for another extraterrestrial intelligence. If you don't understand that fundamental notion, we can stop this discussion.

If you're referring to GΓΆdel's theorem, that has nothing to do with this. Regardless of the language or the way to express ideas, it's always the same math. Ancient greeks demonstrated that sqr(2) was irrational and that demonstration is still true and works expressed in modern math notation.

Divine punishment is for completely different reasons, and orderly and anthrocentric universe, certainly not.

08.02.2026 22:10 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

You don't, it wasn't complete enough.

08.02.2026 22:07 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

That's just different arithmetic bases, it's still the same math underneath. Polytheistic Greek religion has nothing in common with monotheistic abrahamic religions, nor with Indian religions.

08.02.2026 21:43 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Really, no. Just look up the definition of an awiom. Every civilisation has produced one or several religions, they all produced the same math. Should they all be erased, different religions would appear, but the same math would be rediscovered.

Except that there isn't a single, logically coherent concept of God nor of money.

08.02.2026 18:23 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

If you want, but then you're back to this philosophical question, does something that will be rediscovered by different minds exists outside of those minds or not ?

08.02.2026 18:12 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Yes.

08.02.2026 16:32 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

To clarify : in my argument, the hypothesis of extraterrestrial life was a given from the start.

08.02.2026 09:27 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

That would imply that, despite the fact that we're made of the most common atoms in the Universe, our minds would be so unique that they would be the only ones ever to come up with basic arithmetics and geometry.

No known species is capable of abstract reasoning at the same level as us.

08.02.2026 05:42 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

The left one is random, the other is also but the pattern appears only from a multitude of particle interactions. The order in which each of the points in the right picture appeared is random.

06.02.2026 22:28 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Yes, which is why they were able to eventually come up with those basic mathematical concepts.

06.02.2026 22:25 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Well it's hard to imagine any form of elaborate reasoning that would ignore addition and multiplication or integers. Basically as soon as you need counting, you have those.

06.02.2026 21:30 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Other than the concept of a circle, try the concept of prime numbers. Do prime numbers exists outside of the human mind ? Any mind able to perform additions and multiplications would infer their existence. Another reason why saying math are a purely human construct is incorrect, IMHO.

06.02.2026 20:07 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

From what I understand, quantum particles obey laws that imply randomness. It's not at all the same thing as the randomness of the weather (which is not real randomness), so no I don't see how such a mind would be able to "see" patterns.

He should be dying in jail where he should have been locked in since Jan 6 2021. Instead he'll be decaying publicly, an acceptable substitute if it weren't for all the damage he and his cronies will do in the meantime.
