I've spent a ridiculous amount of time learning core Internet protocols and love having this fundamental knowledge.
My most recent consulting project involved phased implementation of a DMARC reject policy for a US college .edu domain. Deep knowledge of DNS, SPF, DKIM, SMTP made this a breeze. ❤️

Np. Def check out the video if you're removing any other keys (e.g. replacing all of your key caps). It was a lifesaver for me.
3/ Before anyone asks, I am aware that less expensive after-market key cap sets are available. Some reviews mentioned they are not identical replacements and I wanted my keys to be perfect! Official key caps were worth the extra $20-$25 to me.

2/ I cannot recommend buying the key cap removal tool Apple sells. The adhesive was a disaster. Save your money.
I had a very clean work area, a lamp with an adjustable arm, I sat at table height so I could see under the key caps. I used playing cards and toothpicks as shown in the video above.

- I mapped many public WiFi places/speeds on Workfrom.co, before WiFi became prevalent.
- I mapped many EV chargers on PlugShare.com to help other drivers.
- I mapped many ALPR cameras on DeFlock.me. Their site explains dangers of ALPRs to our privacy and civil liberties.
Flock Safety has built a system where ICE can access local police data via informal backchannels and abortion seekers can be tracked under the guise of “missing persons.” And they’re continuing to expand it.

2/ Sharing since these changes surprised us during our Laravel 12 upgrades. We updated our local files to reflect changes in the GitHub diff 10.x to 12.x.

Laravel Task Scheduling and Middleware broken? Be aware that Laravel 11 moved BOTH configurations:
- Task Scheduling from Console\Kernel to routes/console
- Middleware from Http\Kernel to bootstrap/app.
Neither of these changes were documented in Laravel 11 upgrade or Laravel 12 upgrade docs. :(
To be fair, I believe only one outage was a Sentry SDK bug combined with a Sentry ingestion outage, and Sentry patched the bug quickly! ❤️
Our misconfig of Sentry Traces Sampler has caused us several other minor outages. Please show how to read a request URI with query string in Traces Sampler docs.
We love using Sentry to monitor our websites and web apps for bugs and performance issues. It is unfortunate that Sentry outages and SDK changes have resulted in more downtime for our websites and web apps than hosting provider outages.

PSA: Many Internet companies increase customer rates EVERY YEAR. Instant profit. 💰
If this happens to you, take action! Every time I call my ISP after rate increase, I consistently lower my Internet rate to $30-40/mo.
Use new customer rates and competition rates to negotiate/ restore a fair rate.
RANT: Our last few dishwashers were only "dish sanitizers" due to consumer appliance efficiency requirements.
We now scrub our dishes, the machine sanitizes and drys them using "rinse aid", then we dry the plastics.
Energy efficient is great, but the time and water we waste is an embarrassment.
2/ Excited that our area has seen a 4X increase in # of EV fast charging stations (100-350kW) over the past 12 months.
It's also been exciting to see announcements over past 12 months of many upcoming EV fast charging stations along various routes between our city and surrounding metro areas. #NEVI
