We abstract #Kubernetes to reduce cognitive load, delivering a seamless developer experience. Every component is carefully evaluated, often replaced with custom solutions to control our destiny—critical at our scale.
We don’t use Kubernetes in the traditional sense at LinkedIn—we treat it as a foundational building block for pod orchestration and tailored infrastructure APIs.
This episode is a real treat- @ahmet.dev and @ronaknathani.bsky.social of @linkedin.com share lessons from running Kubernetes in production! Learn about the custom tools they've built for running Stateful workloads, how many clusters is the right number, & more!

Had a great time on @kubernetespodcast.com talking about how we are building our compute stack using Kubernetes @LinkedIn—managing hundreds of thousands of bare metal machines and running thousands of services at scale.
We do this with Temporal at LinkedIn. Seeing a lot of benefits over other workflow engines, specifically around reliability, idempotency and scalability.
