I snickered when I got it, but now it's like one of the most stupidly useful things we own because digging for the LAST AAA IN THE JUNK DRAWER is a fool's game.

A few things I have added to my home that I do not regret:

- always-on thermal water dispenser (but I have a timer that shuts it down between 1-6 AM to save watts)
- magnetic rechargeable motion sensing lights in my closets
- the thing that looks like a joke but is surprisingly handy: Battery Daddy

I have long speculated that the reason for this was baked in as a condition in some founder's/CEO's retirement package.
