Watching this is a very good way to waste the last minutes of my workday.

Living my life like I wasn't invited. Jim/James Go Cubs Banner - Graffiti reading "Do Wat feels Bien or Don’t” in Oaxaca, MX PFP - A man in a t-shirt & ball cap sits on a log facing the water on a beach. Next to him a bike leans against a palm tree.
Watching this is a very good way to waste the last minutes of my workday.
Yeah I’m looking forward/not looking forward to seeing my mag SIL in June for this reason. She Facebook-yelled at my normie Dem Mom about how Kamala was going to send her sons to war if she won. My nephews are 18, 16, 14 and are not and will not be enlisting or even joining the ROTC.
I hadn't thought about that analogy, jfc.
Prior to watching every week, I listen to a podcast recap to spoil myself so I can eat dinner and also anticipate when it's time to look away.
*Saw Evan Dando play at the Mercury Lounge in NYC in ’10. Immediately after he got up on stage (after walking in 90 minutes late) he looked around, smirked, and said “Smells like San Francisco", the place from which we had just moved, so extra personally funny for us.
All this legal pot just makes me a little sad that it's RIP to my gf & my inside joke(courtesy of Evan Dando*)about pot smell: "Smells like San Francisco."
Do you realize that happiness makes you cry?

Dad's birth father died when he was 11, but was a factory foreman. The Grandpa I knew worked for UPS. He ran a bowling alley with my Grandma in Chicago after retiring.
My Mom's Dad ran a bar in Chicago with his bil before becoming a handyman/factotum in his retirement in Tarpon Springs.
And when people like me hesitate before crossing so they don't die, more cars take that as me giving them permission to turn right against the walk signal. I avoid crossing there as much as possible.
A photo of an intersection with a red circle on the southwest corner indicating the spot described in the text. both roads are 4 lanes with dedicated left turn lanes. Crosswalks are painted for all crossings and on the east side of the northbound road a green bike lane is painted.
This intersection e.g. gives the N/S bound cars a left arrow before peds standing on the SW corner get the walk to cross N. This leads to cars using to make a right on red before N/S traffic gets the green. And even after the walk, 1-2 cars try to zoom thru the red to beat the S-bound Green.
I hate having to look left in an attempt to force someone look me in the eyes while they run me over, while also simultaneously looking to my right to do the same for any left turners. Legally crossing a street should not be a game of Frogger man.
Been switching back to music from podcasts, and listening to albums rather then algo streamed playlists. Did Maxinquaye & Pre-Millennium tension 2 weeks ago. Mezzanine and Blue Lines sound great for today.
An almost full moon sits glowing in the sky behind a thin haze of cloud above an industrial area. Electric utilities poles and lines exend to the vanishing point from the right of the frame and raliroad tracks do the same from the bottom left. In the distance, lights of apartment buildings glow,.
Last night's not-full moon, since tonight the full one is going to be hiding behind clouds. #photography
The sunrise over downtown Seattle as seen from Kerry Park. The sunshines through a tree on the left of the frame while in the middle downtown Seattle glows in the morning light. Mt Rainier is just visible in the distance. A contrail from a passing jet angles in from the left upper corner of the frame.
Planned to go look at the moon this morning but it got foggy as soon as I got outside so ended up here instead. #photography #mountainsout
Gatekeeping sobriety is a new one on me but I can't say I'm against it.
Hearing loss be damned, it is impossible to play this song too loud.
Fine, it’s about a someone’s manicpixiedreamgirl. It was the 90s, who didn’t want a girl who knew she was able to fly because when she came down she had dust on her hands from the sky?

*and scrolling. Can’t forget the scrolling.
Trying my darnedest to listen to music not podcasts while I sit working my boring job. Actual full albums too, not just streaming algo playlists. I really wish I could make time to just sit and listen to an album at night, give it full attention, like reading a book, but I also like reading books*.
The expression and the finger point says to me he's just been asked to do something (or asked his wife to fetch him something) and he's pulling the "Sorry, I'm trapped under a cat, what can I do? You wouldn't want me to disturb our sweet little darling, would you?"
The idea of having to get in a car and drive to do anything at all - as is required when I visit family - is exhausting. Even things I'd walk to aren't actually walkable because of lack of walking infrastructure and the danger posed by drivers.
Yes. People talk about social media and algorithms creating information bubbles that isolate us, but personal cars were the first bubbles.
Jean Paul.
You'll get in trouble for that.
And when I don't, like last night, I almost get left hooked by a big murder pickups. TBF, I was distracted by the right-turning car that rolled thru the stop sign at 10mph b/c they saw a gap in traffic they had to make, Peds be damned (or dead) But they both oopsie waved, so it's all good . . .
Not enough fingers and toes to count them all. It enrages me that every time I cross the street (with the signal), I feel compelled to look back over my shoulder for right turning cars while also keeping an eye ahead of me for left turners. Or vice versa, depending.
Don't know about greatest but these couple give me a laugh every single time I hear them:
"Jesus rides beside me
He never buys any smokes"
"He said it’s all in your head
I said so’s everything
But he didn’t get it"
Damn, that is one particular cat. I was practically forced to get one when my cat started making sad eyes and asking me "Why doesn't the radiator make heat anymore?" in spring and summer.
I think Pia would agree that Pia deserves a heating pad at her age so she never has to worry about which sun puddle is the best sun puddle.
A thing that keeps bothering me watching A Knight of the 7 Kingdoms is that at the jousting tournament, Dunc keeps standing right up front at the railing. I know Egg is a lil guy, but come on, Dunc, your whole bit is that you're Really Tall & you're a nice guy, have some situational awareness.
I made it clear I was fine with (and kind wanted) her telling me she didn’t work there anymore so go pound sand, but she always helped.
