Cricket Noem: American Hero Other than β€œthe buck stops here,” no statement is more frequently attributed to Harry S Truman than his observation that β€œIf you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.”

Just a reminder that we should honor Cricket Noem as an American hero for sacrificing his life to keep us from a Kristi Noem vice presidency www.anti-knowledge.com/p/cricket-no...

It must be interesting to be a multimillionaire executive at McDonald's and yet you still have to tell women at bars that you work at McDonald's

We are training undergrads (18-22) to digitize vcr tapes, cassettes, and vinyl. We introduce phrases like "rewind" into their vocab and made diagrams of what a tape looks like from 6 angles. And we get questions like "how do I rewind a record" which is understandable but turns my bones to dust.

Thing I just learned from watching The Traitors Ireland: The Irish count their seconds by saying "One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi," and so on. Flattered to see the unreliable American time measurement system has been adopted globally.

The curse we all carry is that we remember our past selves, when we think we were handsomer, smarter, thinner, more energetic, etc. But it blinds us to the fact that we are constantly meeting new people who think we're pretty great exactly the way we are at this very moment. Let go of former you!

Just watched Abigail Spanberger's SOTU response. What an epic snooze job. Can't anyone in America write a speech anymore? Why are politicians afraid of memorable lines?
