It’s very likely that Aryan Front have some unspoken qualms about marching in Bristol this weekend – namely that the antifascist presence is going to be bigger and more militant than ever. Make no mistake: they are scared of us. Despite this welcome development, we must stay on alert! In-fighting amongst the far-right doesn’t make Bristol Patriots any less dangerous and abhorrent to us. They were aware that neo-Nazis were joining their march and, they made no effort to discourage them. Further, we know at least two members of Aryan Front are based in the Bristol area, so they may still turn up without declaring themselves as members of the group. In addition to this, known neo-n@zi football hooligan Ryan Ferguson has independently declared he is attending, along with Kai Cunningham of White Vanguard (the neo-N@zi group that Aryan Front split from). Aryan Front have also stated that they ‘are not finished with Bristol’. Let’s send them a message on Saturday: Racists will never be welcome here.

As many of you may know, Aryan Front, a newly-formed neo-N@zi group, recently stated their intentions to march alongside Bristol Patriots at their demonstration on Saturday 7th March. In their video statement on X, the Aryan Front proclaimed that “Racial treason is the worst of all crimes! It’s time for Antifa to meet the hanging tree…” before four young men are depicted posing behind a banner and swastika flags and performing the N@zi salute. Aryan Front’s ideology is drawn from the Creativity Movement, a militant white supremacist cult established in the US in 1973, which regards H1tler as “the greatest leader the White Race has ever produced”. Moments ago, Aryan Front announced that they wouldn’t attend after all, claiming to not want to march along side ‘Jewish figures’ ‘Iranians’ and ‘mud people’ – seemingly in reference to Bristol Patriots support of Israel and US-Israeli intervention in Iran.

Talk to your friends, get organised, discuss your skills, risk levels and what you want to achieve.

Get creative, make a plan (with some back ups, alternatives and some exit routes) and look out for each other!

Affinity groups are a way of organising where a small group of people act autonomously and can be more effective. Many affinity groups can work together in a crowd to achieve even bigger things.

They are peddling racist tropes about Muslims and their beliefs.

We will stand together, as Muslim Bristolians and non-Muslims alike.

We will keep their hatred off our streets.

- Make a plan for what you would do next time, how you would find out about it and how you would let people know.

- Keep a mask and bustcard in your bag.

We need to be more ready. We need to continue to build and strengthen our networks, preparedness and response times.

If you are organising an event in Bristol which you think Bristol Patriots might show up at, then please know that there is a community around you who will show up if you need it.

We can only expect that it will happen again. With dwindling numbers at their marches, they seem to be trying new ways to spread their hate around Bristol and are lashing out at those who oppose them.

Luckily, none of the antifascists were injured, but this is a wake up call for all of us.

This is an escalation from Bristol Patriots; they turned up at a previous fundraiser in December at Strange Brew, but this time they arrived masked and attacked people enjoying a pint on a Sunday afternoon.
