Headline: A 30-year high!
Story: Still smaller than it was before the austerity of the 80s, 90s and 2000s.

Both can, I think, be true. So many nonfiction books (but not all!) are successful 5000 word think pieces filled out into a book ten times the size.
The returns, they diminish.
Every day is a fight between Tiny Petting Zoo and Endless Screaming.
I've had conversations about the "it's evil and it's crap" position myself. Well, I say conversations, but they were short because I was called stupid and a planet-killer. I can take one, but both was a bit harsh.
I hope every town in BC picks a slightly different time.
Sounds like the UK shipping forecast, but for clocks.
Seems reasonable.

You can use one of nine InDesign-style footnote numbering systems (like *, †, ‡, §, ¶ symbols!) or define your own. You can also start numbers at arbitrary values and do a bunch of other neat things.

Are you thinking of Toronto? Because snow cover is surely very different. I hope we can get cycling to happen more broadly, but as a fairweather cyclist (in Waterloo) I do feel that weather concerns should be taken seriously.

As a Claude Pro user my experience (with individual projects, so small code based) is that running out of tokens is a sign that I need to do something else. And there is always something else to do. I appreciate YMMV.
One message was that middle powers have to act together and that acting "in our own interest" in isolation is a path to nowhere. Not to mention that at this moment "what's in Canada's interest?" is the wrong question to ask.
In serious matters, I always assumed the title "Comptroller" was a horrible business-school neologism.
Apparently not.
If the calculations were about what kind of statement will get Canada something, the government was already on the wrong path.
And surely the Davos speech was about how collective action by middle powers is the way forward, not each one running off on its own.

This is one of the reasons I try (mostly in vain) to make Claude Code speak in the first person plural.
... although Derek Parfit, in "Reasons and Persons", argues that psychological connectedness over time is "what matters".
HISTORY OF PHYSICS
Kurt Symanzik was an influential German physicist.
Starting in 1962, he developed Euclidean quantum field theory, surely one of his greatest achievements. He recognized that field theory could be reduced to the structure of classical statistical mechanics

I had never heard of him! Thank for this post. Fascinating.
Speech from the Throne > State of the Union
Not to minimize this, but 2nd hand from a UK D-Day participant: it was necessary to clear the beach quickly, so some soldiers first off the boats were ordered to point their guns at the disembarking soldiers and to shoot any who did not run across the sand.
Could this be just a reflection of the "Conservative" group shrinking to a more "populist" cohort, rather than a change of views across the nation?
