Those of us chatting to people on doorstep really aren’t finding much loathing. Surprisingly positive and lots of people giving him credit for dealing well with appalling circumstances. And give him benefit of doubt at home.

Que common in those days to repeat your children’s names. My great grandmother (who had 12) called the girls Jean, Mary, Margaret, Anne, then the next four Jeannie, Marie, Maggie, Annie (tho christened same as their older siblings), then Edward, James, Susan and Rose… insurance against mortality.
