If you Google "inauguration day," you're greeted with an animation of fireworks forming the shape of the American flag. Google has never done something like this for the inauguration, sources told me, out of fear of appearing partisan. But that's changed now, with Sergey and Sundar attending.
My conspiracy theory, one that I hope is proven wrong, is that Trump promised to permanently unban TikTok in exchange for them suppressing content on his mass deportation plan and uplifting content that makes him look good.
This is going to have political consequences that I don’t think we can even begin to fathom right now.
