Six years ago today after a long roller coaster ride, my bro and SIL adopted this little fireball on my unofficial birthday. Can’t even begin to explain how much she has changed my life. So happy we get to spend the day together.

I lost my mom yesterday. She was 80 but it was unexpected. I’m heartbroken. She was my rock.

She became disabled 21 years ago and I was her caregiver. Wasn’t always easy. She was stubborn. We bickered a lot. But we really loved each other and we made sure to say it. I miss her.

My nephew woke me up this morning in full costume. When I opened my eyes, he said “I’m Buddy the Elf! What’s your favorite color?”

Side note: He was the only kid in his class to dress up so he was like a real life Buddy. 😂
