USA? Give me a call if you’re around

It goes both ways - I recently did this with my boss too: “I need to schedule time to talk today, and don’t worry I’m not quitting”

This would make her captors Trojan/non-Greek, but Helen was Greek from Sparta.

Mine’s basic, single speed. Variable is definitely better but if it doesn’t have a built in heat source for defrosting it probably still works in this same way. I‘m no expert, though, and different areas have different considerations.

Mine is about 7 years old at this point so yours may be better, but when heating at close to or below freezing it periodically freezes and runs a defrost cycle, switching temporarily to cooling mode. Backup heat comes on and prevents the system from blowing freezing air into the house.

Stephen King made the same assertion before retracting it: “What he actually demonstrated was how some people cherry-pick Biblical passages.”
I never liked his approach but I take this as if you accept one verse as perfect then you must also accept the prior verse (stoning gays) as being perfect.

It’s dumb and cheap of them not to include payment terminals as a stop-gap measure until plug & charge is ubiquitous. I love the convenience of it, but dealing with the plethora of apps across charging networks just has me driving right by them.

I wanted a phev but they are very unfairly taxed - at least in my state you are billed an extra $250 or so for registration like an EV is, and I suspect the new federal $250 fee will also apply to them.

I hate this because you know it must mean they're doing something other than storing a hash.

Leather cleaner (saddle soap, pink miracle, whatever) and a cloth or brush. If you don't have leather cleaner just mix a bit of mild soap and water.

If you do it with the laces out you'll get them looking almost like new. I like white sneakers and do this semi regularly.

Politically, I’ve seen more a push towards car free in progressive cities and therefore buildings being built with no car space at all. This doesn’t align with then forcing chargers everywhere.

Non progressive tend not to force extra requirements since it’s bad for business.

In some buildings this is quite expensive even for low amperage connections, and laws are often difficult to write for the exceptions. Imagine requiring only a 15A/120v, or requiring ripping out and replacing the 16A/240v that is already there but doesn’t meet the new standard.

With Tesla chargers it seems to be configured as part of the initial setup wizard. If the user did reconfigure it (or in a less-smart charger, pulled it off the wall and adjust the dip switches) the breaker will trip during their next charging session.
