I'm looking at a bunch of CES2025 videos to get inspiration for some of the content I want to create at #CES2026.
The craziest thing is actually seeing myself across the show floor in other people's videos.
I'm looking at a bunch of CES2025 videos to get inspiration for some of the content I want to create at #CES2026.
The craziest thing is actually seeing myself across the show floor in other people's videos.
So, who's heading to #CES2026?
I don't know what it is about me and task managers, but, if I don't write the things I intend to do down, it's a crap shoot on whether I even remember that I had something I wanted to do, let alone actually doing it.
I just realized we're less than 90 days out from #CES2025.
Who is going?
Still need to dig into them but ChatGPT integration seems to be the biggie.
I've tried Notion, multiple times. I have an account and use it for some projects I've been invited to, but, the lack of OCR is a showstopper for me.
I take pictures of way too many things that Evernote just handles.
Evernote has had its first major update in 5 years.
I'm going to have to dig into the new hotness.
I know folks might be wondering why I'm still using Evernote, but, I have yet to find another solution that meets my 2nd Brain requirements quite like "the green elephant" .
I'm not saying your content shouldn't be on YouTube, or Spotify, or TikTok, or, IG.
I am saying that it is easy to "Jimmy Kimmel" your content if you don't control your distribution.
I think independent, RSS feed-driven, podcasting is more important today than it has ever been and I'm not so sure the push for everything to be video only on a handful oligarch-led platforms is the right play.
It's significantly more difficult to deplatform content that isn't platform dependent.
I'm curious as to how folks are feeling about the TikTok deal?
I don't currently use TikTok and don't imagine a U.S.based version will make me feel like I need to start.
I'm really going to have to do the math to see if the Amex Platinum Card is worth it.
They want $895 a year for this thing.
I mean, I use it. I just don't know that I use it like that.

The Raven's ability to run the ball is going to be a whole problem for the league this year, health permitting.
Black folks shouldn't have to "code switch" to get large language models to understand them, and this is why Howard University and Google have teamed up on "Project Elevate Black Voices."
We talk about this and a lot more eposide 187.

It truly meets my desire for a 'clicky' feeling mechanical keyboard while being quiet enough for me to use it while podcasting.
This dude said they might have to look at deporting Musk.
Hehehehehehehehehehehehe...

I know @robbdunewood.com and I have both been suspecting Apple might buy their way forward in AI. Bloomberg saying they’re considering Perplexity. Doesn’t feel like a cultural fit, but the tech would help them. www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
It looks like Halliburton just ruptured his Achilles tendon.
I feel sorry for him and the Pacers.
Whoopi doesn't have multiple Oscars. Angela Bassett doesn't have one for a role (she received an honary award). The picture is of Viola Davis who also only has won.
Then it made up facts about Oscars never won.
Google did provide a source, but, it completely misrepresented the information.
And this is why you have to "Assume Incorrect" when it comes to asking AI questions.
Just look at the number of hallucinations in this AI Overview when Ityped "Black actress with multiple Oscars" into Google.

I've been doing some remote podcasting over the past couple of days, and let me tell you, using my Galaxy Tab 9 Plus as a second monitor is the chef's kiss when producing.
If Samsung adds a stylus to the Z-Fold Ultra, it might get me to take a look at it.

Something tells me that this will be one of the least watched NBA Finals in a long time.
This is not a knock on the teams, but, Indianapolis and Oklahoma City aren't exactly media metropolises.
Folks that aren't fans would be hard pressed to name more than one starter on each team.
Make this make sense...
Apple supports RCS, yet, Google still doesn't support RCS in Google Voice.
So, I just got this Logitech MX Mechanical keyboard, and man, is it nice to type on.
Is a 10-year ban on state regulation of AI a good thing or no?

So, I actually sync Pocket to Reader via Readwise.
I could/can create bookmarks directly in Reader, but, I've just used Pocket for years and never changed my process.
I going to try using Reader directly because highlights I create there get succked into my second brain.
How well can LLMs judge a situation and apply the appropriate response? We talk about it on today's @dtnsshow.bsky.social Live with @tommerritt.com , @handle.invalid , @robbdunewood.com and me. Watch us live at 1pm Pacific right here: dailytechnewsshow.com/live/
I may create a project for myself.
Whatever it is I need revenue to be fairly delinked from my time.
I don't want to trade time for dollars directly.
