Our new report provides some answers 🧵
📢 Our new report, Funding Scotland’s Future: Tax Reform for a Just Transition, has made the front page of @scotsman.com.
It sets out credible, progressive reforms that could raise £2.3bn a year, support climate goals, and protect those on lower incomes.

In return for stronger public services, greater economic resilience, and a fairer future, more tax will need to be raised, and not just from those at the very top.
Most of us will likely need to contribute a little more.
We set out a credible, progressive package of reforms that could raise around £2.3bn a year - while protecting low-income households and supporting climate goals.
Our new report, Funding Scotland’s Future, looks at how Scotland can use its devolved tax powers to fund this transformation.
We find that current fiscal plans rely too heavily on optimistic savings and marginal tweaks. Nowhere near enough to meet the scale of the challenge.
The Scottish Government has set out a bold ambition to strengthen public services, tackle poverty, and deliver net zero.
Scotland can achieve these goals – but only if we’re willing to pay for it. This means confronting difficult questions about how we raise revenue.
NEW: Scotland can raise £2.3bn a year to protect its social contract and reach net zero, according to our new report released today.
